The cruiseship Norwegian Bliss left the building dock on Meyer Werft on February 17th. Until the second weekend of March, when the ship is set to passage through the river Ems and into the North Sea, further outfitting and testing will be conducted, as well as the training of the 1600 crew members on board.
Norwegian Bliss is the third cruiseship in the Breakaway Plus class. The ship is designed specially for cruising in Alaska. Because of the environmental regulations of Alaska, there has been a special focus on energy efficiency during the construction of the ship, in the form of a new generation of engines, and integrated LED-lights, among other things.
DAMPA has been a supplier of metal ceilings for Meyer Werft for more than 40 years.
DAMPA has delivered ceilings for much of the public spaces aboard Norwegian Bliss, a restaurant, a lobby and the corridors, to name a few.
