Since august 2019, the new e-ferry has sailed the Danish seas, as the e-ferry with the world’s longest route going to and from Ærø all the way to Als through Southern Denmark.
Ærø Kommune’s new ferry is fully electrical and breaks several technological barriers when it comes to its all-battery propulsion.
The ferry’s sustainable aspects is not just clear through the technology, but also through the visual design solutions, which all leads back to the cozy Danish island: Ærø.
With the DAMPA ceilings it is amongst other possible to integrate lighting solutions suppoorting the mood and functionality of the e-ferry. On Ellen is installed 324 m2 of aluminium DAMPA clip-in tiles, where e.g. the lighting easily integrates as seen on the pictures from beautiful Ellen to the right, kindly provided by the project.
