With only 1,2 metres space at the sides, the enormous cruise ship left Meyer Werft backwards Sunday evening this week. After 14 hours transit through the Eems Canal, the ship set the course to the harbour Eemshaven.
Norwegian Joy, the sister ship of the Norwegian Escape, is the second ship of the Breakaway PLUS class build at Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany. DAMPA has delivered B-15 fire certified ceilings for corridors, wheelhouse, public stairs, toilets and crew areas. For Tender Lobby and Casino we have delivered acoustic and decorative ceilings.
After its completion Norwegian Joy will be making its first trip to China in the end of April. As a ship specially developed for the Asian market, it will be used exclusively for Chinese travelers.
DAMPA has been supplier of metal ceilings for Meyer Werft in more than 40 years.
In 2016 Meyer Werft awarded DAMPA “Supplier of the year 2015”.
